ID checks for away tickets

That is absolutely ridiculous, what on earth are the Ticket Office up to?! Imagine if you’d had no ID and they’d not allowed you in. @Becs this needs escalating at the earliest possible time. (Thank you)
 
For some reason my ticket yesterday had been archived. I did not archive it. Reading this thread no biggie in the grand scheme of things but it did seem a bit odd.

Out of curiosity, did they give you the loyalty point for city anyway?

I know you get the point even if you don’t use the ticket, but I wonder if eventually they won’t give you it if you are selected for a check and then don’t show up

You've no need to confirm anything to me.
However You've said earlier on in the thread You've no email address and don't need to prove your identity to anyone. You might well find the mods will be interested in that as they need to be able to identify who is posting on their message board.
All in my opinion of course.

That was my worry, I had not been sent any ID check email so I went to their ticket office to check and the lady I spoke to checked my ticket on my phone on the scanner they had, all was ok, she had no explanation as to why it had been archived.
 
I hate this digital stuff on phones, what if you go for a piss & drop your phone in the toilet, or fannying round outside the ground drop it in a puddle 🤷‍♂️.
I'm not gonna take my passport 500 bloody miles on an off chance & I also only have a paper driving licence.
I would happily pay £5 more every away match for a paper ticket.
The arse on over branches getting priority should stop - so what if u r in a branch, just apply when it's your turn like the rest of us

That happened to me. Luckily I checked train and match tickets in wallet before leaving hotel.
Panicked like hell before checking archive and there it was. I hadn't archived it so not sure why it was moved.

All the digital tickets I've had have been archived after the match. Looks like someone set a parameter wrong when the tickets were created.

Im on a Samsung and mine did the same. I loaded it to my wallet Wednesday evening.

I didn't realise until I cane out of their fanzone. Had a little panic and then found it in the archive bit. Selected unarchive 3 or 4 times but couldn't move it back. Managed to open it in the archive bit and thankfully it worked.

Wife has an iPhone and hers was fine.
