Australia v England, 3rd Test, 16th December , 23.30

That's some compium/delusion mate.

The last team we're playing COVID conditions against a fully fit and 4 years younger Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc and Lyon.

If you'd had lobbed this lot in there they'd have done even worse. 4 of the top 6 were there anyway.

The Aussies were second string in the first 2 without a settled batting lineup in any game.

Yet they've pissed it to 3-0 and their batting hasn't even been particularly good beyond two players.

The best batsman has ended up in being their best batsman through circumstances of the Aussies being unsettled too.
Yeah extremely disappointing no argument there but I certainly think worse teams have toured there and never been in games.

That said it’s fair especially the first two tests when we had big chances and blown it with them missing key bowlers to say massive opportunity lost

Like I said most frustrating team but certainly not the worst team

Teams have gone there and been blown away every game, we have had some chances in this series which granted makes it more frustrating.

The brains are fried from bazball amd being battered. Playing at deliveries theres no need to produce at and playing shots theres no need to when youre behind in the game and series
Batting and bowling had been missing so much (less said about the fielding the better)

Fielding and catching from them miles better.

They have looked a far more professional outfit from every angle

Langer is a fan of Stokes like, could see them working together soon. Would think that could work.

Listening to some of this lot speak is like being patronised and gaslighted all in one. There barely seems like there’s any middle ground between ‘backing your team mates’ and ‘defending the indefensible’.

We’ve seen enough over the last couple of years to hand out some P45s and never let the likes of Key, Baz, Crawley and Pope ever darken our headlines again.

For all his talent, Brook is one of the stupidest cricketers I’ve ever seen, yet in some quarters his talent seems to equate to not challenging the mental side of his game. Agnew is right. These players are too cosy, too wrapped in an echo chamber, and don’t seem to feel the healthy level of pressure needed to keep them focused and evolving.

Harmy suggests this in this vid I watched this morning, saying they've all bought into him and wants him peddled. Would to see Stokes work with Langer.

I'd argue there have definitely been teams who had less talent, but I still maintain that this is the worst team we've had for the Ashes, at least in the 30 years I can remember watching test cricket.

The fact that they've surrendered so meekly in spite of having bags of talent in the squad, makes it worse.

In previous series when we've had a team that you can plainly see doesn't have enough ability, at least you felt like the players were trying their best. Their best may not have been anywhere near good enough, but at least they put the effort in.

This current team feels like most of them could be world class if they could be bothered, but there's no desire. There's no drive to improve, to work on their individual weaknesses, to think about how to adapt to match situations.

It feels awful watching a bunch of talented players bury their heads in the sand and refuse to do anything that could improve the situation.

And he's right...the Hundred has ruined our summer cricket and made the 4 day game a complete farce
I agree too like .. same as fining Somerset for daring to prepare turning wickets which might have helped in the development of a certain Shoaib Bashir's development ;) getting what they deserve imho.
