Poll also allowed Andy Cole to play basketball midway through a Utd game at the SOL then allowed the Utd goal that followed and topped his day up north off by red carding Micky Gray for pointing the hand ball out.

No idea about Shieldsman, I have been on NLZ for years and also the old SSFC forum on the Sanddancers site which was great back in the early 2000s when players management and fans all posted so there was a great sense of community even more than now (speaking as an exile in Yorskhire, then the USA, now Scotland) since I left Shields around 2005

I think this guy was called Ordy. He was a fan of Shields manager at the time Ray Lish He seemed to have upset a lot of the fans . Probably around 2013 time .Where did Shields play before Peterlee and then Filtrona

Definitely not it's basically a council field. Without the purchase of Filtrona by John Rundle and his sister, we'd have been stuck in the Wearside longer
