My comments were mainly in response to the above factually incorrect statements. Any campaign would need to be developed with a logical, reasoned proposal why the system should be changed.

Prefix both statements with “In my opinion”- it’s a forum where people regularly state opinions and it would be very dull to require legal disclaimers before everything anyone said.

In actuality, the term and conditions of sale are largely ignored and unenforced so there is no requirement for them to be there. The established rule is you can do what you want with a ticket.

Its not true pal, it may well come in, in due course, but it's not in yet. I have some Mag mates and yeah, they do it, however their tickets just turn red at the turnstiles which then forces you to go to the away ticket office, loads have kicked off as it now means they have to be at the away end earlier just in case their tickets turn red.

My shout was - How can they dictate people's away-day plans, if I want to turn up at 2-50pm I will do

Totally different now. 40 tickets are ringfenced for the branches to go in and purchase them so the branch is sat together. If a ticket is allocated to different to the ticket holder ID and they're subject to an ID check the same regulations apply.

OK. If you want to ban a loyal fan who decides to give their ticket to their son because they’re not feeling well, fair enough.

Think it was instigated by Man Utd, the way ours was at City, only difference was that they didn't get an email like we did. West Ham just responded to what had happened with their bans

Judging by the amount of fans I've seen on social media today selling Brighton tickets, the ID checks don't seem to be deterring many people!

Surely all the club have to do is actually set up an account and then buy them. Then trace them back to teh source and ban them? Am I missing something here?

Its just starting with us but it will have an impact if they start chucking bans about.

the branch might only want 30 tickets for that game so in phase 2 the 10 seats that were in the 40 ring fenced are released.

so better seats that were not there in phase 1 might be there in phase 2

Are the seats the branches tickets are for situated “together” ?. Cos that’s got to contribute to a better atmosphere than them being scattered around the away end.

When I have benefited from Branch tickets they have been. Often in a group over a few rows so in a cluster

i can not comment about where the other branches tickets are but the one im with all 40 seats are together.

Tbf mate, our club hasn’t implemented anything. The checks at City were at their request. The recent warning was that other clubs might follow.

The issue at the moment is a lot of big clubs are becoming increasingly annoyed with third parties cashing in.

Frankly they don’t give a shit about Barry giving his season ticket to his mate to use for a game.

What they are pissed about is Barry selling his ticket at an inflated price to a third party; and then the third party charging even sillier money for fans to bypass the usual ticketing process to get into the ground.

It sends them crazy to think that a ticket worth perhaps £45, has been sold to a third party for say £100 and then it’s being listed for £200.

Of course it also means that the third parties can sell tickets in the home end to visiting fans. When Rangers visited Old Trafford last season, thousands of them got into the home end.

Not that I've heard of but there's more noise about it happening.

There were a good number of fans who were refused entry at Forest, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City as they didn't have the correct ID matching the name on the ticket.

This will, imo, become more widespread as the 'closed shop brigade' get louder.

The amount of people trying to sell on tickets for Brighton on Facebook etc only highlights the issue and it's unfair on fans on lower points who are trying to get to tickets to the game.
