Coventry

Yeah they are a well run club financially at least. Got decent money for Hamer and Gjokeres and haven’t spent much more than that. But I get the feeling they don’t have the backroom connections like we do or a scouting network. Can’t see them picking up Sadikis for 20m. I might be wrong. If anything we’ve shown promoted clubs the way this season.

I'd agree generally. Our staffing is still quite small. If we go up, we will struggle massively. There's not a chance we go out and spend big money.

The strategy would remain the same and owning the stadium is a major part of that.

Simms cost them just slightly less than our team that won the playoff final… based on that and not having a Bellingham to sell id say there’s no chance they splash £100m

I think they could spend a few quid if promoted but probably 50m ish. The advantage they have is Lampard. He just might be able to attract some good loans.

He only cost us £3m.

It will only be £7m if we get promoted.

Frank will mostly be managing England this time next year.

He'd do a good job as well.
Yep, big risk for you lot. I think he learned a lot even since we played you, as well so I think he would do a decent job.

Wonder if Doug has a replacement in mind yet. Who do you get in to replace him? Think players like Rudoni seem to be looking up to him.

Do they?
Not saying that's not true, but I've not spoken to a single Boro fan (or read anything by one) who thinks that.

KH has made a great start and we're playing some really good football (feels like 🐀 has done us a favour), but it's still early days.
For what its worth I would like to see Coventry and Boro both come up preferably with someone like Preston, and for three Southern clubs to go down. We need to rebalance the PL geographically and having the big three NE clubs in the top flight would be a great start.

It will start to feel like 1999 again if Coventry and Middlesbrough are in the PL.
