He said in his press conference that it’s part of a rehab program for him. I would have thought there had been some dialogue between the national team and our physio department and it was decided that it’s best for him to finish that and join the team later (assuming he is even selected).

He's still on rehab here, i think they'll want him to finish it here in training next week and then maybe join up later

No point ,also he was on the bench for Senegal the last time they played and Diarra was available
I can’t see the Senegal federation paying out of their own pockets for a player who isn’t going to be match ready for another couple of weeks
