ID checks for away tickets

If say one mate with enough points can’t go so I use his ticket for another mate and he gets pulled for ID before the game, if the lad with enough points gives me his ID to take down to collect the tickets would this be allowed do you reckon?
No. The ID surely has to match the ticketholder who is trying to gain entry otherwise the whole exercise is completely pointless

I’m not being stupid here am I? Our ticket office sent out an email about City granted, but was that on the order of City. There hasn’t been any communication from Sunderland that ID checks will be happening going forward has there?

This is exactly right, absolutely no comms at all about actual ID checks, just people jumping the gun, thinking there is going to be

Says on here ID may be needed at the request of city so yeah agree on jumping the gun

I’m dreading how long it’s going to take me to sort everything out for Brentford as that’s the next paper ticket game. Hopefully the tickets arrive nice and early to give me the opportunity to get them all sorted. I’ve got spreadsheets of all the tickets bought and I’m now going to have to include in that the person who that particular ticket relates to.

If it takes too long or is too stressful I’ll simply call it a day after Brentford and everyone will have to sort their own ticket out. I’ve done this for 10 years + without the slightest issue. If I pack it in I know for a fact plenty of fans that have been exceptionally loyal to the club during the shit times will lose out as they’re not always available to log on at specific times to purchase tickets etc.

Even families may get stung for example husband and wife buy 2 adult tickets and they unfortunately use the wrong ticket wife goes in first ticket works no problem, husbands ticket is declined for an ID check but the ticket he has is in his wife’s name. What then? Does he not get in because of these new rules? As ever there’s been no communication at all about this.
You have sorted me out with tickets in L1 days for high-demand fixtures. Im not a ST holder and never have been. But I guess the ticket you acquired for me at Luton and Burton gave someone a loyalty point based on me attending on their behalf that they took advantage of to get first dibs on the play-off final tickets.

As I have said on here - I was talking to a supervisor steward last Saturday and he said it was a "City thing" - But then loads go off on their own narrative and off on 1. Ha

My understanding mate is the recent comms to the branches was more of a warning that other clubs may do what City did. If Sunderland were planning on checks, you’d imagine a proper comms would have been issued.

Im sick of saying this but the club needs to clamp down on that Facebook page. That is driving a lot of anger from some.

Mind there’s a growing number of adults with zero points that’s bitching

It’s the zero point gang who want the odd glamour game that are creating all the noise.

i notice on my safc ticket account i can see exactly what time i scanned my season card into the SoL for each game.

surely if they are saying 'its already been used' they should also be able to say at which turnstile and and what time.

if i have two or more tickets on my phone and the nfc scans more than one in one scan, meaning that someone is entering on two tickets at the same time, the computer should be able to show that two entered at exactly the same time, at the same turnstile , and the steward can over ride it?

i know i've been a massive critic of digital tickets over the years and been shot down, abused and bullied because of it... but no one can surely still claim that this system is better than physical tickets.

Great reply as usual.

The club did "shut down" 1 page some time ago. But. Another 1 has since popped up.

Where can you see this? I mean times you scanned in and stuff

If we had physical tickets there would be none of the issues that a lot of fans face regarding forwarding tickets for the New666tle and Leeds games. Just hand the card over and bingo

Literially just seen on Facebook some one doing a bonus ball on the thunder ball for 2 mags tickets, and people think branches are the problem for tickets 😂🤦🤷🏼‍♂️ this is the problem Facebook nowt else sort that before they come after normal folk
