ID checks for away tickets

Yep we got 27 in the last two seasons starting from 2.

Didn't get a ticket for Burnley but managed to get to every once since.

If I'd seriously started in 22/23 I would be pretty close to phase 1 now
It's what I did, part season ticket 22/23 after years without one due to work & parents/mother-in-law being ill and passing away.
Picked up 6 in 22/23, then 18 and 22. Now on 55 and mostly phase 1.

Always being able to be on-line when they go on sale helps enormously.

Did you hear anything from the club after you emailed them saying you couldn’t attend Man City due to illness @Grumpy Old Man ? Be interesting to know what club will do if you can’t attend a game last minute.

My season ticket is under my wife’s name because of panic buying at the start of the season.
My sons is an under 22 card and because it wasn’t a normal transaction we kept getting kicked out. They best never stop me as I’m obviously not a Mrs.
Just say you identify as a female and are in transition 👍🏻

This is the official line

“Away tickets are non-transferable, away tickets are issued for the Holder's sole use, and you shall not sell, dispose of, assign, transfer, lend or otherwise deal with the away ticket or benefit of the same to any other person without the prior written consent of the Club. If the ticket is resold or transferred without the prior written consent of the Club, it will become void, and the Holder will be refused entry to or ejected from the Grounds for that Match or any subsequent Matches. A transfer may be authorised by the Club in the Club's absolute discretion and providing that such sale or transfer is in respect of an individual Match and in consideration of no payment or benefit in excess of the face value of a Match Ticket. Such re-sell or transfer will be subject to these Terms and Conditions.“

I’m not actually sure I’ve seen a single person on this thread say they have never passed on a ticket, never sold a ticket or never allowed someone to use their account to purchase a ticket. Going by this, I’d guess flouting of the rules is pretty common.

Maybe you know loads of people who don’t get on here who abide by the conditions of sale.
I can honestly say that I have never transferred a ticket t anyone. I was too ill to travel twice so the seats were empty. I have 60 points. I may not be able to say this later today as my son lives in London and I doubt if I want to go to Brentford after Tottenham a few days earlier due to it being another long coach ride and a very late night.

I bet you’re a joy to socialise with.

Online forums aren’t a social outlet for me.

What I was doing here was providing context as to what the club claim they will do in the case where a fan can legitimately not attend an away game. As this is what is being debated here, it seems relevant here and takes the debate forward.

If you’re looking for social activity, I’d suggest you maybe get out, meet up with friends, take a walk etc.

I do all of the above.

I was commenting on your officious manner in constantly stating rules and regulations, do you question anyone and everyone in any given situation that you find yourself regarding how law and rule abiding they have been that day.

I don’t think you understand.

A poster who couldn’t attend the match last week contacted the club in advance to inform them that he couldn’t attend due to ill health.

There was interest from another poster as to how the club handled that situation.

It would seem relevant at that point to understand what the club claim they will do in that situation so I quoted verbatim what their official policy is in order to ascertain if they have complied with their own policy.

I am not responsible for the “officious” way the club choose to phrase said policy.

Frankly, your contribution did nothing to take the debate forward and if anything is derailing an otherwise interesting thread.

More consequences for the person who bought rhe ticket originally. They could ban you from always and take your loyalty points from you.
They are after the people who are the root cause. Let’s be honest, theres plenty of them.

It’s that Facebook page that has pissed them off mind.

The great thing here is the club are clearly looking at ways to amend the current system which clearly isn’t working as the current rules are either unworkable or openly flouted.

Disgusting really the self entitlement of some on here and funny how they’ll do anything to distract from the fact that our away ends contain a large proportion of fans who have no right to be standing there.
