Glad I got the 1957 it was fine on there . Knew I had a 20 mins turnaround but made it OK.About 2015 iirc.
I was at the game yesterday and was stood next to someone who didn’t have a season ticket. Obviously it’s hard to quantify the magnitude of the issue, but it does exist.
Providing there is clear communication (I.e. 2 days out x% of ticket holders will be checked on the day by a staff member outside the away end, so it doesn’t cause delays etc.), then I don’t have an issue with it.
In a perfect future e-ticket world, any unused away tickets should in theory be able to go straight back on the SAFC website, and be sold to people who have the relevant points.
I can completely understand people who just miss out getting pissed off with people passing tickets round. With the demand as it currently is, there’s no reason as a high pointer to not buy a ticket to every game, as this season it’ll be dead easy to pass on any ticket.
Personally I think there is no perfect solution to this. Do I have an issue with away tickets being passed on to fellow SAFC fans…absolutely not. Provided it’s not for profit and the person receiving it is a genuine supporter (and yes I believe you can easily tell). Where I would have an issue would be random people getting tickets who just fancy a PL away match. This appears to be the case with some of the big, established PL clubs. Random tourists and YouTubers (a modern day abomination imho) have no place in our away end. If I had a spare away I would prefer it to go to someone so they could take their kid and hopefully encourage the next generation of SAFC fans. FTM.
Is BobBob lost…congratulations you win the internet prize today for this comment…so funny yet so true!
That’s not what I saidThe branches wont be fucked if everyone uses the ticket they are supposed to. Unless you think its possible branches are maybe pooling tickets across a large number of people but using a smaller sample of season tickets to do it?
If they are doing things right they will be fine.
Easy we sell out every away game second stage manWe didn’t sell out every game.
And do you honestly reckon we’d of sold out every game without exiles picking up tickets second hand and the branches?
There will , but it's going to be a small amount. Not sure why you are so adamant that people won't miss a game against Man City when they have travelled to 50 other games over the last few seasons. Theres a whole host of reasons for people not to go to specific games.
Every game there will be people in our away end who have barely any points, but are using someone else's details.
Do they?Is it not worth poaching some of their ticket office staff?
They seem to know their arse from their elbow.
My mate got sent to the ticket office but not because of this. It was because he did not have NFC set up on his phone. He is a few years older than me in his early mid 60's and does not have cards etc set up on his phone and pretty much only uses cash. He has never needed to set it up so when we got to the turnstyle it would not open when he tried to scan it. They gave him a paper duplicate and he got in after about 8 mins.Hard to tell. Was half a dozen at the ticket desk. Away end seems rammed
I would wager that out of everyone with loyalty points, most have done it at some point, so most of the away end would be banned.
Because 9/10 most of the people who cant make it actually don’t sell them to knackers. Actually give them to family friends or friends of the family etc. if I can’t make it because I get called away for work that weekend at short notice then mine gets given to 1 of me mates. Rather they use it then it go to waste.I dunno how people can be so trusting to give their ticket to some random knacker.
Totally rattled you lad. Started early today. He’s a master at assuming mate, he will be telling you what your having for tea soon.

Awww mate 100% every family has there own knackerI thought it was obvious from my comment that I'm not referring to those that distribute them to friends or family. No doubt there are plenty of people that are related to random knackers though.
I wonder if it’s the same 1 I know, he’s had enough and called a meetingJust adding on to the hassling digital tickets and the hassle they are causing branches.
I do feel for the people trying to keep these branches going, I know of at least 1 very close to just calling it a day with away trips.

Any bother and risk losing your season ticket etc . Risky businessI dunno how people can be so trusting to give their ticket to some random knacker.
Out of curiosity does it actually say you can’t give your ticket away? I think they’ll find it hard to cancel it if you’re not in trouble but the knackered is.Any bother and risk losing your season ticket etc . Risky business
