Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

Utterly utterly depressing this

Every series down under goes the same way totally destroyed.

My own fault, it’s the hope that kills you.

Knew we would get beat in previous series in Australia but thought we had a chance in this one little did I know :(

Yes it’s Australian conditions and it was always going to be very tough.

But a Australian side without Cummins, Hazelwood and Lyon still stuffed us!

No why to hide for this side

The biggest series define the legacy of a set up and we failing badly

It's only cricket mate.. it's not the end of the world. It's understandable to feel deflated it has been a let down but to quote Marcus "it is what, it is" ;)

Nasser saying for all the poor cricket in terms of execution he took great issue with some questioning their efforts, saying they kept going throughout and the bowlers were absolutely busting their guts.

Ashes were gone as soon as England touched down in Perth
They actually did go in the hour after lunch on the 2nd day in Perth. It was amazing how we simultaneously lifted the Australian’s confidence sky high whilst shattering our own.

That period destroyed our bowlers, who’d performed brilliantly to put us in charge and with that any chance we had of winning the series had gone.

I don't get anywhere near feeling like that with cricket thankfully. Prefer England to win obviously, but didn't ever expect it this series.

Shocking stat that.

ECB need to start prioritising the red ball game. Enough of franchise cricket and that bastard 100 shite

Talent is there, can be a quick turnaround. Key, McCullum, Stokes (as captain) and anybody else associated with this whole Bazball cult era need to be thrown out of their jobs immediately. Get in leaders who actually know something about winning test matches (McCullum doesn’t).
