When i was younger I always used to go to the Mill House pub before the game.

Shame how the place has declined over the years.

Often used to go in the Engineers years ago whenever Pools were at home and Sunderland were away.

Lived on the Headland until I was 12 before we moved to Sunderland Some lovely parts of it.

Very recently, that n the ship shut within a week!

We prefer the Fish, and have been to the Globe a few times, but not for a couple of months.

The owner of the Ship died a couple of months ago and it closed soon afterwards

Aye I believe so mate. I guess 6 boozers in a small area is probably still impressive compared to nearer town where loads have gone to the wall.
