Often used to go in the Engineers years ago whenever Pools were at home and Sunderland were away. When i was younger I always used to go to the Mill House pub before the game.
Shame how the place has declined over the years.

We prefer the Fish, and have been to the Globe a few times, but not for a couple of months.
Aye I believe so mate. I guess 6 boozers in a small area is probably still impressive compared to nearer town where loads have gone to the wall.oh ffs. I though the Ship was doing OK.
so all thats left now is: Gaiteys, Victoria Inn, Fish, Cos, Globe, Duke of Cleveland. Unless I'm missing a couple?
Used to walk past the Globe every day as a kid going from my Nanas house on Nesham Road to home on Northgate and in my head that's what a proper pub should look like.
