Timur Tutierov

How old was he when he signed here, feels like he's been around a while. I'd like to see him play mens football second half of the season, even if it's in the national league. U21 football is not really benefitting him now imo
I remembered Ive read somewhere when he signed for us when he was 15 thereabout. Not sure. It was the start of the Russia/Ukraine war wasnt it?
No, I wouldn’t. I’d keep him on the bench 100%. Just like Foden had to wait for his opportunity, Riggs should do the same. Sending him out on loan wouldn’t be ideal because other clubs play with completely different systems and tactics, which could hinder his development. It’s better for him to learn and adapt within our setup.

no, no - I mean I would be surprised

not a chance he goes out on loan imo & rightly so. he is an important part of the squad/ club

Definitely improved from a player that shows glimpses here and there to standing out, as said his one on one finishing has been the only let down. Needs a loan though, hard to judge players at U21 level.
Exactly why I hope at some point in my lifetime we'll see the FA adopt the European model of clubs being able to choose to have a B team in the professional pyramid.

Imagine we had a side down at League 2 level or National League level. Would immediately mean that all of the youngsters coming through can get their first taste of playing professional football against senior players without them having to be loaned out to a club with facilities and coaches a million miles worse than ours.

It would require such a restructuring of the setup of the English game though it'll never happen, but a man can dream!

Doubt it when we are looking so light in midfield areas through afcon. He'll feature quite a lot second half of the season imo - even if it's 20/25 minutes from the bench most games
Transfer window is open until the end of January. Well after AFCON finishes.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we see Rigg and Mayenda both get some more game time during AFCON but then be loaned out towards the end of the transfer window.

I wouldn't compare him with Watson. Watson is a far better player imo and his first touch, close control and finishing ability is far ahead of Tutierov currently. He immediately stood out when I first watched him play -- plus I think Tutierov is a bit older than Tommy. Someone compared him with Watmore and I think that's a bit more accurate.

Get him out on loan and see how he does.

Not sure why there are regular posts on here suggesting loaning out players like Mayenda and Rigg. If we don't sign players that are better than them in their respective positions then it's not happening. We don't have the squad depth to be able to loan players like them out.

That's an absolutely abysmal idea. Part of the reason the English pyramid is so strong, without a doubt, the deepest in the world, is that we don't have the leagues diluted with U21 sides for the benefit of the elite.

This new 'National league cup' being played in empty stadiums gives you some idea of how it would play out

Amen to this. 👍
