T20 Blast 2026

It may be a minority view I accept, but I think the move towards more and more games during the day at weekends is not good. The format is ideally suited for floodlit evening matches. The weekend is for recreational cricket. And even if it wasn’t, wasting an entire Saturday or Sunday, which is what it entails to go to 3 hours of cricket in the middle of the day, isn’t for me. I’ll always have better things to do.

Love to see them react to the schedule that was in place when I first had a membership.

1xUCCE game (3 days)
16x4-day CC games
16 One-Day league games (45 overs)
A minimum of one C&G Trophy game (50 overs with)
5xT20 Cup/B&H Trophy matches
They couldn't cope bless them

I see that Warwickshire have finally stopped calling themselves Birmingham Bears and will now be known as Warwickshire Bears.

Surprised it took them this long.

It was a sponsorship thing with the council, wasn’t it? Assume it’s come to an end.

Are they also going to put the name of the Birmingham End back to the City End? I presume that was part of the same deal. Unless they think modern cricket fans are particularly thick when it comes to geography.
