Yes we draw support from surrounding areas too, but so do they.

That shows how remarkable our support is really, but all I'm saying is having such a vast population to draw from does give them the potential to attract very big crowds if they get it right.

We'll I haven't to be fair. My general point being if I was a resident of Birmingham, I prefer the city wasn't an absolute shit tip before being concerned about having a massive chimney stadium.

The buzz created from a new stadium will draw in extra fans. Birmingham as a successful Second Division club in the early seventies attracted huge crowds.
West Ham, traditionally not as well supported, found an extra 30,000 overnight.

This, a new stadium gets people in. My cousin who was in his 20s was what I call a Sunderland liker. He never new when we were playing and could only name a handful of players. The SoL got him interested and he eventually became a season ticket holder

Plenty of fair weather fans and day trippers if the current Premier League trajectory continues. As they’re bound to get promoted at some point.

You’ve got to remember also that once HS2 is up and running, Birmingham could pretty much be considered as a London suburb. Which opens it up to a much larger tourist base.

They struggled to fill a 20k stadium for years , if they do fill it it’s gonna full of tourists so hopefully Birmingham has an influx of visitors

I am not so sure if George, the self-proclaimed genius, put any of his own cash into his white elephant. Feethams was a proper little ground and situated in a lovely part of the town.
Sacrilege.
