SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Yeah, but as I've also pointed out, the outer wall of the concourse is not level with the top of the stand, meaning even more space is lost for no practical reason. This could be altered to virtually double the space in the concourse.
That means people would be entering the north stand on a road that cars drive down to get to the west stand car park.

It doesn't have to be done on every stand. It could be done on the east and south stands fairly easily.

What’s the next areas for improvement? So impressed with the ownership. I would like the tarmac to be painted red or black with cats eyes around the pitch. Seats are looking faded again. Don’t like the white in the corners. Then extension in a few years time.
1 of the few good things Donald done imho, was getting the fans involved putting the new seats in. Hopefully when the time comes, KLD does something similar

Padded seats with underseat heating.

I agree with that

It was free labor
It was. So it saved the club money & gave the feeling that fans wanted to do it & volunteered. They felt like they were helping out. A bit like back in the day, going to Roker Park to clear the snow off the pitch.

I think people feel more aggrieved it didn’t cost them anything as opposed to it saving the club money.

Was good at the time and gave the club a much needed boost in morale from top to bottom, however, with hindsight it was done out of necessity to save money and unless you were a Sunderland fan comes across as tinpot.

If for example Kyril had asked for that to happen after taking over from the chancers, the reception to a Billionaire heir asking to help him save money, would have been very different.

In the words of them up the road, "we just wanted our club back" and helping install the seats was a step towards feeling that was the case.

They wouldn't spend time and money on new signage if they had plans to lift the roof off anytime soon. There would be no point.

It looks like South Stand extension or nothing.

I really don't think this new signage would cost that much to take down temporarily while an extension got built , before putting it back up

Bearing in mind planning and design would take a year or two before it even broke ground, I'm pretty sure this new signage has zero effect on when or how the east stand gets extended - if it ever does . Zero

I think anything like that should be encouraged. Not for the reason to save money, but to bring the club & supporters closer. Let’s face it, we’re at a level now it could move further away. To be able to keep it as a community club in the biggest league in the world would be fantastic.

Would be a nice touch to install them somewhere between the new bridge and the stadium once that area is all sorted
Thought that about the plastic working they can do it inside the ground, on the walkway from the bridge to the stadium would be canny , rather than been stuck in the car park
I always liked it. I always thought that if you combine that with an intimidating atmosphere, it can sound a bit threatening.
That was always my take , eg welcome to Sunderland your in for a tough time here

It's an illusion the edge of the roof looks slanted to everything else 🤪

Slightly gutted it's not "WELCOME TO SUNDERLAND".

Will look good though, the work on the stadium has been brilliant.
A Welcome did appear about 10 years ago, Dafabet not there now of course
