South Shields FC 25/26 Thread

Yep, we meet the requirements for National league 👍
I met your dad the last time I just called in to see the ground. He stopped and we had a chat. Lovely bloke. He encouraged me to come back and go to some games and told me he’d buy me a pint!

I know things haven’t been great but my thoughts go to you and your family mate.

Sincerely.

And I will get to some games this season.

Up the Mariners.

Really appreciate the kind words mate, thank you. It can be quite addictive once you get to a game I think (although I am a tad biased!)

Very pleased with how the season is going so far 👍

I watch them randomly a couple of times a season. I don't think their attendances are much different to when they were a league lower. I understand that evening games anywhere these days don't seem as attractive and the weather last night was poor. However, if the reported figure of 1,362 for last night's match is correct then that must be the lowest for about 5 or 6 years (excluding covid restrictions). An adult entry fee is either £16 or £17 - should that not be reduced fof certain games and well publicised if the club do so ?

Don’t meet requirements for football league based on number of seats / seated stands and I think a couple of other bits but I’m sure we’d look to get the ground to the required standard
South Shields seem to be maintaining their form, while others are dropping points.
I was brought up about 10 miles from Merthyr, so am now following their campaign in the National League North.
Will be coming to the game at SS next March.
Good luck for the rest of the season...
