Forthcoming gigs.

Sister Hazel tonight (just decided to go as they're playing a small place 15 mins up the road. Folk-rock, jangle pop, college rock Americana with a country tinge; a bit Blues Traveler, Matchbox 20, Indigo Girls vibe - had a brief flirtation with US radio play in the late 90s / early 00s)

Newcastle Arena will be a bit of a come down for them I imagine. They've just played their biggest ever show, selling out the enormous La Défense in Paris. Going to that badly designed, tinny-sounding shit hole will be quite the contrast.

Potentially strange gig at the Cluny on Thursday
XGenX with ex Gen X Mark Laff and bizarrely Spandau Ballet’s Steve Norman doing first two albums 🤷🏼
Will report back.
It was a good night, despite not the greatest sound quality.
Lead singer Elizabeth Westwood did a rendition of her “Sonic Boom Boy” from Westworld which was ok, but they murdered a few Gen X songs before that😂. All good natured and a nice atmosphere in the Cluny tho 👍🏽

The Offspring at the o2 tonight, really looking forward to it although the fact that the last album of theirs I bought was released 22 years ago is a bit sobering.
Seeing them tomorrow, fully expecting a arena full of middle aged balding men with bad backs and knees having midlife crisis
