Ashes Watching Plans

Perth (0230 start) being the first test, followed by Brisbane being d/n (0430 start) kills the midnight ritual a bit - not as easy a watch as previously.

Few hours kip, first session then back to bed might be the way to go for the first test.

Also heard that there was a way to bypass a TNT subscription by getting Discovery which is cheaper or something?
3 quid cheaper. And have to watch via the app on your tv.

And you only get the 3 sports channels instead of 10.

And no red button interactive and no pause rewind features on your tv.

I have the discovery+ app. None of that is my experience

@NorthCountryBoy i'd take anything this person says with a pinch of salt

Will just get up early for the first 2 tests but fly to Melbourne on the 11th Dec to visit my in-laws for a month so will catch the rest over there.

Got tickets for days 2 and 3 of boxing day at mcg with day 5 a possibility if its goes that far.

Need to find somewhere for derby game on 14th

Anyone got any jet lag tips? Been trying to go to sleep early for a week to try and get a bit closer to their time zone but I just can't sleep before 10pm however much I try! Hoping after a 20 hour flight I'll be ready to crash when I get there and checked in about 9pm their time!
