Dennis Cirkin

From what I've seen so far I think Cirkin is better than Masuaku. Reinaldo is a bit of a liability can see him getting sent off again tbh so I think Cirkin will get games so as long as he can stay fit.
This bit is definitely ban worthy.
A liability? He’s the best full back we’ve had in decades😂
It’s insane how some people think like. Gives away one penalty and gets one red card and he’s now ‘a bit of a liability’.

I've not watched them back like but both penalties in that Brentford game seemed very soft at the time imo, the red card was obviously daft as owt but I'm surprised to see people doubting Reinildo

Both pens were correct. Both players (Reinildo & whoever the Brentford lad was) were holding on during corners and dragged the player down.

Referees are trying to clamp down on it and warned both sets of defenders about it just before each corner was taken I think.

I really like Dennis Cirkin and I hope he gets opportunities in our team this season. But Reinildo is absolutely superb (yes he gives away a few things) but 1:1 defending and pure pace he's going to be an incredibly important player for us. Who would you rather have marking Ndiaye on Monday night? Definitely Reinildo

A bit of a liability makes him sound like Callum McFadzean, but I think what the poster probably meant is that he plays on the edge at times and I can easily see him getting sent off again or giving away more pens. So in that respect, he could easily cost us again in the future. I like him mind, just got to hope it doesn't happen too often.

I don't fancy Cirkin much in this league, he does have strengths but he gets easily beaten by competent wingers, he's a bit slow and can't stop a cross. Although when was in form, he was probably a similar level to Hume, if not better, but I think Hume is a bit better at defending.

They’re hardly ever fit though? They are of no benefit to the first team for the majority of the season.

We need to move on from these lads.

They’ll be on a low wage and we know they’re quality if they can get fit. I wouldn’t be shooing them out the door personally. Saying that, if a club comes in with an offer and we think we can get better for the money, we will sell.

Thing is we’d need to get someone new in who’s happy to be second fiddle to Reinaldo. If they’re young they’re going to want to play. Are they going to be better than Cirkin?

Back training and available, more likely in the squad for Fulham
Interesting. Fit and raring to go he clearly has a lot of quality. He is obviously technically able or he would not have been on Spurs books.
Given his recent injuries and time away from premier it’s a massive jump mind

Either him or Masuaku on the bench going forward i think

I wouldn’t underestimate a fully fit Aljese tbh. He never let us down playing there..another with bags of ability. Made of balsa sadly it seems

I agree, not sure I can put my finger on exactly why but I always thought he looked incredibly competent and with a lot of potential. If not for his injuries I'd have pegged him as ahead of Seelt, Hjelde, and others and most likely to be able to step up to Prem. Something about his calmness, passing range, comfort on the ball.

Injuries and extended time out mean he's really behind the pace now though, and surely no way he gets in ahead of any of our current CB options, but hope he's back fit soon to at least get up and running again.

No need to rush either Cirkin or Alese back this time. Hopefully both can get some minutes for the U21s first.

Honestly mate I don’t think the club thinks minutes for the 21s is any different to playing games in training with the 1st team, in fact playing with the 21s against the 1st team in training is probably better.

I think he is great it's just a shame he is severely injury prone. I think he'd do well in the premier league tbf

Definitely ahead of Hjelde. I never saw what RLB saw or sees in him, yet he seems to regard him highly…connections, connections, connections it seems
