Premier League TV Selection Dates 2025/26

Leeds on Boxing Day or Sat 27th would have been great , town be chocka and most off the next day now it’s the Sunday when half people at work next day and an earlier KO
At least it’s a Sunday between Xmas and New Year. Don’t know anyone who’ll be working the Monday tbh

Awful that like. I’ve never worked between Xmas and NY in my entire working life

Can someone talk me through the premier leagues explanation of their boxing day schedule?

Weve got less weekends to work with now therefore we can only have 1 game on boxing day and it must kick off at 8pm

Eh??

Theyve also given assurances that there'll be more games next boxing day as its a saturday. Does that mean the traditional boxing day schedule will now only happen if boxing day is a Saturday??
Exactly. They could easily have put 3 of the games on the 27th on Boxing Day, then is 4 games on both days

Be working 24th 25th and 26th 27th..Normal working week for millions in the UK.

Blimey people think nobody has to work these days.

Enjoy putting your oven on the 25th maybe we should have the day off and make sure you have no electric or energy to use. Clueless.

You probably work cos yer family and friends think yer a reet arse clart and miserable arsehole, even the Sally Army would put the house full signs up if they saw you approaching.

I’m missing city, spurs and Brentford as I’m in Australia. Already found a pub open 24 hours to watch the games in. Hopefully tied in with a England ashes win.

Don’t really take much interest in away ticketing so wouldn’t have a clue about points, etc.

Getting to Brentford away was my top priority this season as I’m down to my last 20 of the 92 and it’s one of the only PL grounds I haven’t done. Got hotel and train booked, what’s people’s thoughts please on how many points will be needed for a ticket? Considering it’s midweek, just after Xmas, 3 days after Spurs away, but with a probable allocation of just 1,725.

Sells out early in phase 2 imo - looking at probably 45 points for that so probably 60 for guaranteed ticket

Surely an exception can be made for boxing day given they could kick off at 3pm regardless of what day of the week it is?

Usual lack of common sense running through the powers that be.
I thought this as well, but it's probably to cater more to the international audience most of who just have it as a normal day.

Probably need 40+ points for it. Midweek is a ballache but it's a new ground for all of us and 1,725 tickets is nowt.
