Premier League TV Selection Dates 2025/26

not everything is that straight forward though. some people might enjoy getting the bus/train to the town and having a few pints along the way both before and after.

swapping that with a 2 or 3 hour drive in each direction in the middle of winter, no pints, hassle with parking and traffic etc.. you can see how some people might be swayed

nobody is saying that though
RokerMackem is saying it. It's hard to disagree ☹ (& I love a couple of pre-match pints).

pints, shouldn't even need to enter the conversation, in my opinion. Yet it is THE conversation for a lot of people. Rightly or wrongly.

it doesn't have to be THE conversation to be a part of the conversation.

i go to every away game, 99% of the time i get the train so i can have a drink.

if i had to drive to every single away game then i'd probably not go to every single one as having a few pints and relaxing on the train is part of the enjoyment. its not the total enjoyment. its not the only enjoyment. its not even the main enjoyment. but its part of it. doesn't mean i'm an alcoholic.

Personally, no. I cant see how not being able to have a drink for 1 day of the year and sway people not to go and support THEIR club, how that can stop them going to a game. Christ sake, me n my lad went to Plymouth last season on a coach, no drink involved..were out the house 24 hours, to support the team. Its only 1 day of the year man. If people can't make it because they physically cant get there...that's fair enough.

i don't think anyone is saying anyone is an alcoholic, what we may be saying is that drink, or lack thereof, shouldn't be a reason to not go to a match.

Xmas and NY.

Leeds game is 5:30, just unsure if it's 26/27 so no help really

If Leeds is Boxing Day at that time I'll be pissed off. Always go out with my mate for his birthday that evening and take the day after off for that very reason
If the Man City game gets moved to NYD as rumoured then Spurs will be moved to the Sunday. Not ideal when the majority will be back to work after 2 weeks off the next day!

They can fuck off doing that. I'm working NYD and will never get a swap for it

has anyone actually said they aren't going to the match because they can't have a drink?

people are just saying, when theres no public transport, its less enjoyable. not being able to have a few pints make it less enjoyable and therefore less appealing. doesn't mean people aren't going to go

I'd rather just watch it on the sofa with a few cans

Getting officially confirmed today but I think it’s 5:30 ko for Leeds 28th

City 8pm NYD

And spurs 2pm 4th with no change for Brentford

That’s the rumour on street

I'll miss Leeds and Man City if that's true. Leave them where they are and I get to both no problem whatsoever.

i think some have yes.

You yourself said you wouldn't go to all games if you couldn't have a drink on the train.
