Pink seats fading rapidly

Red fades faster in the sun because red pigments absorb more high-energy ultraviolet (UV) and blue light, which breaks down the chemical bonds in the dye through a process called photodegradation.

While all colors absorb light, red's position in the visible spectrum means it absorbs the highest-energy photons, making it more vulnerable to the sun's damaging rays compared to colors that absorb less energetic light, like blue.

Just thinking out loud here but:

1. Would it cost a fortune to have them all padded like the posh ones?
2. Would be better all changed to white with only a few thousand red ones so less maintenance?
3. Dunno like

Just watched the highlights of the U21 game and the seats are getting worse in colour, especially behind the North stand goal...too used to seeing them full now so got a good look at them

Think the seat colouring, wording etc. needs a complete overhall next summer - the white corners need to go also
Nature is healing.

Why don’t they invest him some sort of cover to go over the seats when the stadium is not in use ?
Cos the cover will fade in the sun and look shit.

You e answered your own point in your post about why it would be utterly pointless changing tbem.

They are always full we never see them, I swear only Sunderland fans care about what there seats which are full every week look like when they are empty :D
Absolutely hate this argument.

Would you leave your settee looking like a heap of shit if no one else could see it?

Why you would want your ground to look old and tired is beyond me.
