Injury away from Premier League football and the number 1 Jersey.
Unless he moves to a promoted Championship team in the summer, can't see a career benefit I the short term for him.

I think if we're in the Premier League next season we'll sell if he wants to go, only chance he gets back in now is if we're in the Championship imo.

It’s the model, sell for a profit, re-invest. The only one I can’t see being sold over time is Xhaka. We’ll likely sell 2 or 3 next summer and Roefs could be one of them.

I'm not sure the model is have one season then sell them, to risk doing it all over again the next season.

I think he's been very very unlucky.
He's perfectly capable of playing for us today, but he's just been gazumped - pretty sure the recruitment team knew fine well that Roefs was going to be outstanding, or they would have brought in a much cheaper #2 (or even a season loan)
