After showing so much potential in his early years, I do think he was never the same after that tour. He did seem to have a technical fault also where he kept knocking the stumps at the point of delivery, not sure how much impact that had on him never really kicking on.
It was a balance problem. Broad had it at times by falling over when bowling at speed.
My friend has the same thing and weirdly one of his feet is a half size bigger than the other which can cause it.
