Forthcoming gigs.

Agree with you here. I went to an evening with The Christians ( the wife loves them),where you were invited to ask questions, then the band would sing, ask questions, band sing etc. Some of the questions were mental. One woman kept going on to him ,saying 'when all the band had covid, did you get vaxxed'. He told her none of the band had had covid, and she started arguing with him, saying' you have, you have'.A fella started telling him how to sing, then started singing himself. I found it all very embarrassing. I was tempted to go to the tim burgess q+a at the fire station, but that experience has scarred me.
 Sounds horrific.

I felt sorry for the singer. He seemed a lovely bloke, but he mustve been bewildered by some of the questions
Some people shouldn't be let out of the house.

It's the same with these footie talk-ins. People ask the most mundane, cringetastic questions, and makes them look brain dead.

I've never been to an 'in person' one. I fear they would just be like a radio phone-in but £25 more expensive.

A classic post-match phone-in is usually........'Awright Gary, I'm just back from the match, what do you think.....?

Stewart Copeland is doing just this too. Think that`ll be a good night.
I think he has a way better pool of anecdotes and is way more engaging to listen to.

The John Lydon one was canny
You need people who can tell a good tale and people who've been through a bit . A good host also helps

Looks like my next one is Kneecap.

Got tickets for the John Power one in Durham in January. Done the Coral & John Lydon which was canny. 4 weeks on Saturday, which is a canny gap for me. Starts a busy run up to Christmas like.

I interviewed Stewart Copeland yesterday about this tour and I can confirm that it was a very enjoyable, entertaining and very engaging chat. I think his show will be a lot of fun.

Went to similar event in September where Chris Hawkins interviewed Stuart Murdoch from Belle and Sebastian , good night and he did four songs as well. Interested to hear what Mike Joyce says as the book seems have set Morrissey off on his latest rant .

Contrary to the naysayers I think this will be decent too. A few drinks, a bit waffle about The Smiths, then Chris Hawkins doing an indie classics DJ set in the Engine Room with more drinks. I'm planning to go anyway .

Sounds ok, not sure I'd pay £25 mind, and if the dj set is in the engine room it'll be open to anyone?

Saw a dj set in the auditorium bar after sonething a while ago and the sound quality was just plain terrible.
