It would be nice if there was some sort of christmas winter village put on the old vaux site near to the bridge. It would make a nice place to stop just before bridge.Massive game changer, simply links keel square to sheep folds. Makes it integrated with the city centre
It's going to look great with a glass fronted south stand extension.Just been across
Very impressive but I’ve compiled a list of snags
Some of the fence to deck interfaces aren’t great
You expect the sol to be a more dominant structure
How long did it take then to get from keel square to the SOL?
10 mins with the crowd. That was from leaving the fire station to arriving at south stand turnstilesHow long did it take then to get from keel square to the SOL?
He still had the hump because Sir Bob was able to get financial grants to build the SOL, as it was brown field site. While the Mags got nowt when they redeveloped Sid James.Aye, bitter old mag cock.
Did he? How ?It should have been, named the "feck John Hall bridge". As he blocked it being built 25 year ago for the millenium.
It's only taken 25 year to get it, but it was canny using it yesterday.
And it was swaying on the wayback as well.
I hope it’s designed to be like that, if not I think we might have a slight issue on our handsIs it designed to sway? If it wasn't, I'll not be getting back on it. I'm shit scared of heights.
Like the pool at the aquatic being too short. Is saying the bridge was swaying now the latest thing for the anti council lot to say![]()
I'm not in that group. I think Sunderland City Council have done a fantastic job in regenerating the city in the past decade or so. I don't live in Sunderland but I'm there a few times a month (for football, theatre, gigs, etc.) and the change is remarkable. Is saying the bridge was swaying now the latest thing for the anti council lot to say![]()
Every bridge sways to some extent. If it didn't you'd be in serious trouble. Is it designed to sway? If it wasn't, I'll not be getting back on it. I'm shit scared of heights.
With more on the way apparently. The advantage we've had is space to build on. The challenge now is to attract businesses into the city and make it somewhere people want to come and work.I'm not in that group. Honestly, if you'd asked me a decade ago if I'd like to move to Sunderland, I wouldn't have given it much thought. But these days I'd seriously consider it, if it weren't for the cost. With more on the way apparently. The advantage we've had is space to build on. That article hasn't given me any reassurances mindEvery bridge sways to some extent. If it didn't you'd be in serious trouble.

I've been pretty honest about Sunderland as a city on here for years, its been largely a dump until the last few years. And that's coming from someone who lives in Peterlee!Honestly, if you'd asked me a decade ago if I'd like to move to Sunderland, I wouldn't have given it much thought. But these days I'd seriously consider it, if it weren't for the cost.
