Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Fine and dandy Rob. And a jolly good atmosphere to boot. As far as I'm aware people seemed to both manage not walking into concrete seats and navigate a road crossing with traffic lights system.
Did you notice that there was security in orange vests standing at the end of each bench on the way back to stop people walking into them? Can’t imagine they will be there after every game so A&E need to prepare for the influx of broken shins this season.

15 minutes from my front door and that was with me stopping for a couple photos.
Propa being that close on a lunchtime is dangerous.
I know what you mean about the dangers of proximity to delicious food. When I lived in York, I was 2 doors away from a fish and chip shop. When I moved in, I swore I would never go there so long as I lived on that street. If I hadn't, it would've become a far too frequent affair.

Glad it’s not just me who thinks the tarmac looks cheap! Surely they could have done something better with it!

Never happy 🤷🏼‍♂️
It does look cheap and will look worse when it ages and gets patched...against the pristine looking fine lines of the paving stones !I suppose its just about opinions and taste but personally im disappointed with the look but ha ho its just a bridge! i have a sneaking suspicion that the final look has a lot more to do with cost overruns and compromise on quality especially when you compare the cost of 10 tons of tarmac to the cost of 10 tons of york lime or sandstone paving slabs . Anybody got a link to the original plans ?

Was mentioned when it had it's test run for the rugby. The SMB in the knows declared it was temporary and it wasn't finished.
Looks pretty crap. Looked scruffy yesterday too.

The bridge is very much substance over style.

Had stewards there just constantly pressing the button at the crossing

Got industrial estate vibes with those security fence things.
Fits in perfectly with the Auswitz theme ;)
