‘Glasgow Rangers’.

It’s a bigger job than Coventry. From Lampards pov, he’d have Europe plus an opportunity to win two domestic trophies this season (the league has gone though).

If he went to Rangers and did well, he has a chance of being in the mix for a good premier league job.
Promotion with Coventry would be better for his profile and prove he can see a job through. He'd be walking into a complete mess at Ibrox and it's not the proposition it was pre 2012.

But if Coventry blow it (again), his stock will be low.

As I’ve said though, ultimately Rangers couldn’t afford the compo anyway. I do, however, think that Lampard will jump ship at the first opportunity.

Even a bottom of the table Wolves might be enough.

Kevin Muscat, Derek McInnes, Frank Lampard would all tick the box.

A European club should be able to attract all 3.

We wont though because pinky and the brain are enough to make all 3 run for the hills.

Would argue that none of those three really fit the bill - historically they would have got someone with Premier League experience. These guys are all 2nd tier coaches - would be furious to see any of them appointed here.

Surely that proves that the nonsense posted earlier about Rangers fans demanding a superstar manager is exactly that... nonsense?

They'd all fit the bill at Rangers.

I'll go back to my original point and keep it simple.

Piss taking or not (I've no problem with this), I think it's daft to compare any small nations league to League One.

Go and look at Portugal. They have a very small number of huge clubs, some middling clubs, then tiny clubs. This is a lot closer to Scotland, Austria, Sweden than League One, or Bundesliga 2 etc.

I never mentioned low crowds or passion. Most people in Scotland just aren't interested in your comparison, even if you are.

I'm definitely leaving it here now, cheers anyway.
I'm lost now as I'm simply pointing out the revenues are the equivalent of League One/Two and therefore backing up the reason why some shouldn't think Scottish teams should be doing well in Europe as it's a different level of football and players. Some think Celtic and Rangers are these huge teams whereas the reality is financially they're not but it doesn't help that their opposition is far worse financially meaning the games they play overall won't be a higher standard.

I took a look at Portugal and this is another example of what I mean. Even though it's not perfect you can see the huge gulf between Scottish Premiership with the total value of players at €352m with Celtic and Rangers being €237m of that. That leaves the other 10 with an average of €11.5m per team.

Yet Portugal is €1.76bn and overlooking it's 18 teams, all but 3 higher than the other 10 Scottish teams. The average of the lowest 10 is €23.4m so double the 10 from the Scottish PS.

I think he has a bit of credit in the bank seeing as the Gods of fait stole promotion from him after his side DOMINATED both games by having 5 shots in 210 mins of football.

Their fans seems to have pretty big championship fatigue. Majority online seem to be against Rohl
A lot of them seem to think he's another Martin, despite being completely different managers with different ways of playing.

They wanted Gerrard, he won the league of course but also fucked them off and has been abysmal since. i think the experiment with Martin will put the vast majority of managers who would actually be good for them on the back foot immediately with the fans.

9m on Chermiti. Jesus that's a risk. I know he's only 21 but he's barely scored a goal in his career.

3 goals in the Portuguese 3rd division
3 goals in the Portuguese top flight
1 goal for Everton U23s in the EFL trophy nonsense

That's it, in about 65 appearances.
Follow the money.
There's something very suspicious about this. Kevin Thelwell (Rangers and ex Everton DoF) has bought Chermiti twice now, Sporting Lisbon -> Everton -> Rangers, all based on 'potential'. Hmmm
Hmmm.

Compensation is the issue with Lampard but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was tempted by the Ibrox job.

It’s a bigger job than Coventry plus the rest of this season is a free hit for him.
Lampard needs to stay put for a few years. A gaffer walking out is noted by possible future employers. He sorta can’t help his futurecemplyment prospects leaving by being sacked but he can certainly help them by turning a few jobs down and ensuring the media knows it.

He needs to stay at a club for more than a few minutes.

Yes, maybe Everton or Chelsea

They're looking good mind. Tipped them at start of season. They'll occupy one of top 2 places.
