Your three to go down right now.

Win the next two games - not totally beyond the possible - and we are golden.

Ten wins is usually enough (a team getting ten wins will get about that many in draws).

If we have five by game eight then another five in the next 30 is a pretty sure thing.

I'm willing to say this season will set a record for the most points obtained by the team in 18th place, so we will be in the mix until the very last day. 11 points seems like a lot, but it's probably only a quarter of what we need to say up and I will eat a hat on live TV if we have more than 19 points by January 4. We have a very hard run ahead of us.
Not sure it’ll be a record, but definitely looking more like 40 points which is a wild contrast to the last couple of seasons. Ideally we need 3 teams to be largely shit, but in a way, do you think teams like Palace or Bournemouth care about who will go down or how many points they’ll need? If we keep picking up points and hover around midtable the bottom of the table will sort itself out - 29 points to go

Let’s say 30 to go, 40 has fucked us before. But I think we will get to that mark by before we see daffodils anyway so it’s fine.

win 10 games is the metric i’ve always used. a few draws are inevitable.

of course there’s 2 from the mags aswell

TalkSPORT just had whatever betting expert they usually have on and we are still 4th favourites to go down
It will take a while for the betting market to have us comfortably staying up imo. There's still a mindset that we've had a really nice opening run of fixtures (which to some extend is true). It might change a few minds if we were to win at Old Trafford though

You are. 2/1 with Betfair.
Where would you honestly have SAFC in the relegation race / who would you have as being more likely?

It’s early days. Win at OT and, as you say, it will change from 2/1. Lose and, if a West Ham / Wolves or Burnley get a result you will shorten.

Yeah current favs to go down in order are
Burnley
Wolves
West Ham
SAFC
Leeds

Being newly promoted (by the play offs) youre always going to favs, and sometimes teams come up with a bit of momentum, then fade off as the season goes on

I'm not sure about that you know. Aren't man utd THAT bad, that if we got any result there it would still be classed as an "easy" game?

I think you can add Man U to that list. Their squad looks weak to me and they leak goals. Any new manager bounce does not seem to apply to them. I imagine Amorin does not have many games left mind.

Think that's about right still.
Unbelievable start, played well beyond my expectations and wildest hopes. But we have also had little bits of luck all of which have gone our way. The big test now is when we have the run of defeats and how we come out of that. And we WILL have that run of defeats at some point.
