because he's injured until December, and we will drag it out a couple of weeks if we have to, introduce him slowly. No way will we want him going to AFCON immediately after he gets back to fitness following surgery.

Definitely. While it's a blow Diarra is out it at least gives Rigg a chance to play some football. The new players who've come in have set the bar high and it's up to the lads who've had their places taken to show they can play at that level.

well I would argue he would need to be back in full training by the end of November to be able to get up to being able to play full 90 minutes by the time teams head off to AFCON. And going on the fact that usually players tend to be out longer than initially announced, I would bet he won't be ready. But yes, there is always a chance.
