Durham CCC


Nothing against Aldridge and the others we have signed the last couple of years, but it's another reason the club is losing it's identity. We prided ourselves on blooding local talent and watching them flourish and whilst I understand the current crop may not be as glittering as years gone by, but did we really need to sign someone like Sam Connors when we have Minto, Hogg and Killeen? That's not counting Luke Robinson and Stan McAlindon who have gone totally off grid (I get there'll be reasons why, but Stan looked like he had some raw potential a couple of years ago).

Do we really need to sign Aldridge? I assume De Leede must be off as there's no way we need Aldridge, Raine, De Leede and Rhodes as options at 7/8, particularly when we might get the odd game out of Carse and Potts.

Questions have to be asked of the coaching staff for me as I am not seeing any young players really improving and stepping up to take the place of the likes of Borthwick.

I think back of all the patience and perseverance they showed in the likes of Stoneman, don't think he would get as many chances in this regime. Much prefer we gave these local lads as many chances as possible to make it rather than sign randoms from other counties
 
Bought the County Championship shirt a few months ago. I’ve probably worn it about half a dozen times and the Durham crest is already coming off in bits. Not happy at all tbh given the price of it.

I look after my shirts too, they usually last years.
