Notts just beat Worcestershire that sets up next week's match at the oval brilliantly especially if Surrey draw today which appears likely.
I think division 1 is bang average this season. It shows how much counties rely on effective overseas and the diminishing stock of kolpaks. Not many teams fielding two overseas never mind genuine quality ones.Live on Sky too.
It’s mad though, I genuinely don’t rate that Nottinghamshire team. I can’t get over how bang average they are and yet look at them. Suppose it’s a lesson to our lot of what you can achieve with hard graft, belief and a togetherness.
Even we managed to beat them!Live on Sky too.

Notts could be in with a good chance against Surrey after recovering in their second innings from 53-5 to 219-8.
Could be the title decider

I've said for a while that a studio based show with highlights from all the games would be a winner. Give it to Sky for free and let them produce it, hours and hours of cheap content.Sky are showing Day 4 of the Surrey game, and have got Hussain and Dagnall out of bed, and they're broadcasting the standard CC feed.
I do think the ECB and Sky are missing a trick by not having more games available through the season on the cricket channel or Sky Sports +. They did this with streamed content and part time commentators in football, why not cricket.
Now that all CC games are streamed daily (a fantastic innovation that doesn't get enough credit IMHO) and the production quality and graphics are reasonable, it's worthy of a bigger audience and SS+ would have a lower requirement for production quality than the main channels might.
It would require the ECB to give a hoot about the profile of the County Championship, mind, but they might actually manage to extract some cash out of Sky and advertising, and we know they love cash.
It’s not helped that we’ve had 4 rounds of Kookaburra rubbish. Not a massive follower of the county game but looked more closely this season with having a T20 ticket with the little one.
No wonder there's question marks over the current county game with only 3/10 of the Div 1 teams winning more than 3 games all season currently.
Without looking in great detail what level of impact does the weather typically have on draws compared with teams (particularly Durham!!) being unable to take 20 wickets across the 4 days?

If Somerset get the full 24 points and Notts got none, they would both be level. Notts I believe would therefore be champions on most wins this season.I cant work it out....is there still a (semi-realistic) mathematical chance for Somerset to win the title?
