Greek Island Holiday Help

Yeah ill let you know, the apartments have good reviews, only issue that is highlighted is the air con charge being expensive. Was tempted to book one of the apartments on the hill, but don't fancy climbing up there after having loads of food and beer 🤣

One of my mates stayed up there last year. He stayed nearer the main road this year. Im out with him tomorrow night so I'll try and get an update

Kos is lovely at the moment. The nice breeze you get is keeping everything in the mid to high 20s. Lovely for extending summer

Make sure you pronounce it right 😂😏
what is that, sillyvee or giros
You got any restaurant recommendations? Were going to Lassi next wednesday for 10 days. Staying at the lorenzo residence apartments. Seems to be in a good spot, near the strip of bars and restaurants. Definitely hiring a car too, for the time we're out there.
the tavernas are normally pretty good. Zorbas is nice. head into the village and there is a hotel style taverna, in which the service is a lot quicker as it is generally not so busy. then there is a cluster of about 4 tavernas on the main road at a t-junction, which are all pretty decent. if you take the t-junction road that heads towards the big hotels and coast there is a taverna on the left side which has a drinking area and a eating place next to it, all part of the same. they still do the freebies at the end of the meal. sorry I cannot remember the tavernas names.
To go by bus to argostoli is 3 euros each. it is about 10 -15 minutes journey. To get a taxi from to Lassi to argolstoli is 8euros (dropped of a 2 minute walk to the main street). To get a taxi from the centre of argostoli to lassi is 10 euros. plenty of eating places in argostoli and a nice wonder though the capitol. can get the ferry across to lixouri, Cannot remember how much the ferry (from argostoli harbour and every 30 minutes) but just a few euros.
on our last trips there was 3 adults and a 7 year old, so better of just getting a taxi
depends on what you want to do on your holiday, fiscardo is nice with beautiful sunsets at the north of the island. touristy resorts are down to the south
hope you enjoy yourselves

Mate just back from Corfu said 15 eu for a cocktail, 9 eu vodka coke , 5 eu a pint .

Wanting to book Crete for next year , anyone know if similar prices ?

The owner is a pub landlord and certainly wouldn’t choose expensive places . He sells beer in his pub 2.50 a pint here 🙂

Not bragging but been to Crete in June, Corfu in August and currently in Zante.
12e for a cocktail, 4.50-6 for a pint and 7-9e for something like martini & lemonade.
Pretty standard accross the islands unless way off beaten track.Paid 45e last night for 2 pizas and pint and half.
Last year in Skiathos we paid slightly more.
Greece is getting more and more expensive.
