Tough choice this year ...if he wasnt captain, Lees should win....Robinson and Clark the other main contenders imo

Consistent all year in the red ball game and he did alright in the T20. Gets my vote. Gay needs to find some consistency as a top order batsman
And been relegated in the batting order to number 7 which is not even a specialist batsmen position. They even bring Rhodes back into the team who has had a stinker of a season and bat him ahead of Clark.
If I was Clark I wouldn't be happy at all especially at his age still not trusted to be a front line batsmen.

Clark is one of those where part of me would openly celebrate him leaving. He deserves so much better than his treatment at Durham. I’d love nothing more than seeing him do well and get treat with the respect he’s earned.

I totally get that and agree. However with Clarky he absolutely loves Durham, and has been a very good servant. He was treated appallingly under Franklin (who wasn't, but him more so) and I just think he's happy to be playing in whatever role as he's always spoken highly of Campbell and he was grateful to be given a chance as he genuinely thought was was leaving a while back, he'll be happy to have two more years of security and he's also picking up £ abroad and with the 16.4. he's done well for himself since Franklin left.
He's only 25 and our top run scorer this season.
Totally get that but he's basically all or nothing. He needs to find that consistency before I start to get excited about him. Too many low scores which is one of many reasons why we've struggled this season. Half a dozen ducks needs addressing. I think Clark batting at number 7 scoring 741 runs is a better achievement though and Clark has also contributed in the white ball T20 stuff.

Tomorrow night.....should be interesting to see who gets the awards but more importantly who offers apologies for a truly awful end to the season
