Harry Kane

A great goalscorer, but certainly falls short of the legendary strikers of world football.

Easy to get your goal stats against shite opposition in qualifiers and friendlies.

World cup semi final 2018
Euro 2020 (held in 2021)
World cup 2022 quarter final
Euro 2024 final

He went missing in all four of those huge games.

The legendary players turn up in big games and big moments.

If he had turned up in one of those games, england could have won a trophy potentially.
He's the main reason we made it to that stage in most of those tournaments tbf.

Looking at the list of potential replacements, we will be knackered when he is gone as it stands.

The best option currently is Watkins who is only a couple of years younger than Kane, after that you're looking Solanke who could end up being Spurs third choice striker this season and a bloke from the Saudi league.

Rigg and Watson will be ready in a few years.

Yes we have a big problem when Kane retires.
We keep hearing how great the Premier League is, but lots of teams, (as with us), are mainly overseas players.
There was a debate a while ago about a quota system for English players, that died a death.
Part of the problem is that English players are expensive, eg Grealish (is a good player) but you can buy cheaper (and better?) From overseas.
It is hard for English players to establish themselves in the Premiership.

Not sure what the answer is??
