My son told me not to get any numbers or names on shirts as they start to peel quickly, same with York City who use Hummel as well. Poor, I have a short from Adidas days which is still spot on!

I dug out a load of my old shirts for my son the other day - oldest shirt was late 70s, then various stuff from the 80s, 90s and 00s.

Adidas stuff by far and away the best condition. Umbro not far behind, Nike not great, Asics pretty poor. I've Adidas shorts that I still use for running, must been washed 100s of times and still in perfect nick.

The new Hummel stuff feels a bit fragile, but my kid has pretty much everything from last season and 2 of this season's shirts and there's no peeling or bobbling to speak of.

It came out in June didn’t it?

From memory, I think there were no adult L’s in the shop within a week or two of launch.
Friday 4th July. So it has been on sale for 2 months (& 4 days).

But you're saying it's been out of stock for most sizes for months".

You're moaning for the sake of it.

Well, that’s over two months and it was quickly out of stock in standard sizes. (I got mine on launch day but have been twice to get one for others and had no joy either time).

If you look at what I actually said ‘there have been months where the away shirt has been out of stock for most sizes’ that is actually true. Eg 7 July - 6 Aug, 7 Aug - 8 Aug. (Two months and therefore a plural).

So, no, I’m not moaning for the sake of it. I’m reporting on a real issue.

I’ve got to say, the club have absolutely nailed the merchandise this season. I’ve picked up a few bits myself, and the quality is spot on. The sponsor-free shirts look so clean — easily the best we’ve had in years. The pre-match tops are even better in person, making a proper eye-catching impression. I really like the t-shirts. I grabbed one of the retro pieces too, and it’s unreal, you can really feel the difference in detail. Even the hoodies are smart, comfy, and something you’d wear anywhere, not just on matchday. Honestly, the whole range feels a level above — you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it, and it really shows.
I agree about nailing the merchandise, my only gripe being the low numbers of unsponsored shirts available.

I’ve ordered the kids some shirts. Ordered them Friday it’s still saying processing. The moneys came out of my bank account though

This seasons Hummel tops seem a poorer quality to last seasons in my experience.

Bought home and away from both and last years both seem better quality.

The Umbro shirts seem the best quality of kit we’ve had in my lifetime.

This year's are crap quality wise compared to last years
