Saw a bit of your match last night your winger looks quick but nee end product
Getting fringe players extra minutes most welcome. Unreal that we were playing with no recognised centre half’s for the last 20 minutes. No idea if forced or a test enforced by Holloway.
He is definitely building a decent squad for this season.
Old school mentality, back to basics, get them right and better things will follow. He's the right man for Swindon and for years to come, and I do be believe he's been to the Premier like you did once, and then didn't once. That day I got filled in for wearing a SAFC top, as you know11:30- explains why he never comes over at the end of the games.
You can see why the players want to play for him.

It seems he's got a few of us on his line
The secret of good management; they'll run through brick walls for him & take his every word as gospel. The players love him.

Can't argue with that; get the points in the bag first, it could be a tricky NL season later on. I hadn't expected a win last night but I do think away games could be Carlisle's most effective performances. (In a similar way to Swindon where teams will come at you instead of defending/frustrating when at your place).Decent win for Carlisle.![]()
Don't suppose you'll be the first or last for doing that somewhere. That day I got filled in for wearing a SAFC top, as you know![]()
Off to Barra this weekend? Points are there to be collected if you apply yourselves right.
That's one of the many beauties of a day out in Barrow - or Carlisle for that matterA memory regarding Barrow away.
First time to Barrow and a season where I did every home and away rocking up over 7,400 miles with my eldest lad.
We got on the station early to be told the first train was cancelled. No way was we going to make the 3pm kick off.
After going into a meltdown on the station I always recall a Yosser Hughes moment where I visibly said, “fuck it we’ll drive.” Off we went walked to the car park and off we drove. Remember coming out of the ground after losing 2-0 it was pissing down and dark.
Awful journey back but we ticked off the fixture. Carlisle that season away even worse - the story for another day.
Well here we are, September early start and the drive already planned. What could possibly go wrong. One of the tree hugging, wizard hat wearing vegan bastards is already up there. Messaging me what carriage are we in for the Fleetwood away trip.
Ohh look at us we’re following a load of shite with corrupt owners - pathetic.

That's one of the many beauties of a day out in Barrow - or Carlisle for that matterJust smile & enjoy it, smirk at the ownership issues it's all about what happens with the ball. It'll be nice f&c at Fleetwood.
Is your lad not sick of it (and you on the road) yet?Following a load of cack used to be part of the enjoyment for me.
But bear in mind while you're winging about the journey, Truro are at Carlislle t'morra. They'lll be on the road now
You're right, some just can't comprehend regularly travelling to away games but when it's in your head & blood it's difficult to escape from. But word of advice; don't force your youngest to go, he'll come round when it's right for him.You get it, some don’t.
Failed as my youngest pulled out last night. He WILL be baptised again, trust me on that one mate.
My eldest at uni at goes back in 2 weeks. Loves it, absolutely loves it. Proud to tell his Mates he is Swindon through and through. Going to miss him.
You definitely feel a sense of loyalty and honour supporting a load of cack
It’s not just the 90 minutes is it, deeper and dafter than that.️

Spot on and regret overdosing him against his wishes. You're right, some just can't comprehend regularly travelling to away games but when it's in your head & blood it's difficult to escape from. But word of advice; don't force your youngest to go, he'll come round when it's right for him.
Totally agree with your last sentence, going to an away game is NOT purely about the football, or it wasn't for me especially when I stupidly dipped out of playing for an away beers weekend
.
Personal individuality is also a major factor with children as they develop their own, when something feels right for them it lasts.Spot on and regret overdosing him against his wishes.
Definitely starting to show interest again and won’t push him.![]()
