Jamie Overton

Reports that he has stepped away from all red ball cricket with immediate effect.

Currently unaware of the reasons, but that seems an utterly bizarre decision so close to the Ashes.

Wants to do more franchise cricket £££££

Seems the reason is that his body can't handle red ball cricket since having back injuries, so he's going on the franchise circuit.

Was he playing in the 16.4 last month?
And earned more from a month than in his whole career.

As he will do in franchise cricket playing in front of full grounds instead of 600 over 70 year olds at county level.

But blame the ECB etc etc..

What would you do work 60 hours a week on nights for minimum wage. Or go freelance your skills out for a years wage in a month.

It's 2025 still..the world and sport is moving on.
