The Hundred 2025

Today is the First time ive watched any 100 games....tbh I dont really see what the difference is to the Blast other than the teams and the makeup of them eg how can Sowter play for the Invincibles when he plays for us in the Blast ?

The players is the Hundred get paid obscene amounts of money compared with the blast. Marginal higher standard of player in the Hundred.

So theres loads in it for the players but i dont see whats really in it for fans of cricket as it seems no more interesting than the Blast and the atmosphere at tonights game underlined that for me
Lighthouse shining bright
Man of the Match i think, his first 10 ball spell effectively won the game for them

Agree, since it's inception I've asked what does it offer that the domestic T20 couldn't offer given that same degree of marketing.Marginally higher standard in theory but that hardly justifies the vastly higher salaries.
As for Sowter he is undoubtedly potentially a match winner but he quickly disintegrates if he gets tap.

In fairness to Souter he only seems to play (very) limited over cricket so like all bowlers is always at risk of getting hit all over

I wonder how the only team who transplanted their side from the Blast ended up winning The Hundred.
Not really true though is it, Oval only had 5 from Surrey, Atkinson, Clark The Currans and Will Jacks

Manchester had 6 from their blast team and were shite

The top players are on about 25 bags a match
Cheap. Or as a bus driver I get paid 14 quid an hour in front of 200 people or get to drive a limo and earn 140 grand in front of 20000 people..

What would you do??

Think county cricket is the way to go....

Or.... It's obvious..

The point is still valid on the real numbers for salary reasons alone as that’s why professionals play, but …

Surrey averaged about 3k a day for championship last year and about 14k in the Blast. Invincibles about 20k in the Hundred.
