We used these ROSHIELD 2X Rat Trap Killer Box - Easy to Set Safety Box for Home, Shed & Garage Control & Treatment (Professional Quality, Pack of 2) : Amazon.co.uk: Garden they were lethalNiceMy sweetcorn was the only crop on our site that got blown down
. They didn't snap so I supported them as best I could to keep them off the ground. I harvested 4 cobs. The other 43 were wrecked by rats
We had a population explosion of bikes a few weeks ago on site. Now it's rats. Not sure why. We only have one chicken keeper at the other end of the site so we don't normally have a rat issue.
My terrior is too old to be bothered so I'm thinking about snap traps. I won't use poisen - we have birds of prey that visit the site. Any recommendations for effective traps. So e that I've seen wouldn't do much damage at all never mind kill them outright.
Cheers. I like the idea of the box too saves me making something with bricks and pavers.
They have a cup instead of a spike for the bait, we used peanut butter, never failedCheers. I like the idea of the box too saves me making something with bricks and pavers.

Like the sound of them, do they fare well in hotter conditions?Pink lemonade blueberries just ripening, taste absolutely banging surprised the shops don't stock them.

Sounds like I'll have to give them a miss, ground is very alkali (solid limestone), any plants preferring acidic soil don't last two minutes here even when the soil is treated. The soil is well draining, too well, and they'd not get a lot of shade, SW FranceAccording to a.i
Pink Lemonade' blueberries tolerate a wide range of weather conditions, thriving in USDA Zones 4-9, which includes mild winters and hot summers. While adaptable, they benefit from protection in extreme cold (which can cause wilting or leaf damage) and prefer afternoon shade in intense heat to prevent scorched foliage. They also require full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining, acidic soil.
I only got a half yield this year because I thought cross pollination meant the same species rather than a compatible one, so I have bought some legacy blueberries which are meant to be tasty, hopefully get loads next year.

see EditYeah, I have got mine in pots to help manage the pH levels. Been difficult this year with the lack of rain water which is slight acidic....I think
