SOL expansion

Ok you win, £20m tops. If you were a building contractor I would love you to quote for my projects. Suspect you would go bust very quickly though.

That just shows a shell really. The plans that is. Outside looks massively different.

It looks like glass on the outside, but otherwise identical (but like the original NS extension plans with a larger lower concourse). Or are there more detailed plans?

Yeah, we just need someone willing to go bust again. Just need a shit load of concrete and a bit steel, probably someone on Facebook will do it.

Ours was designed to be extended very inexpensively.

The problem with any expansion of the SOL is that we won't be able to rely on the amount of income which can be generated from hospitality and corporate events than the London and Manchester clubs can. We might be able to do a couple of concerts per year but the likes of the Emirates and Etihad are earning money every day of the year.

Impressive video of Fulham's new stand but they have a prime location to host events.

Aye. In the early days of Arsenals new one we had to go in on a weekday morning to mess about with some door closers iirc. We went in the main door and there was a board by the reception that explained whereabouts each of the five conferences taking place that day were situated. I can’t see that happening anywhere else but Brum or Manchester. Forest pick up some national stuff due to being in the middle of the country.

Yes. Not in public tho.

It’s going to be different to just a stand with seats which is pretty much what the NS is

What do they do there every day out of interest? Is it meeting space or something?

I've been to a few business conferences at the Emirates. They have a huge amount of configurable space which can be used for meetings, conferences and entertaining all in a venue which is much more interesting than a boring hotel or conference centre.

I'm more curious about The Etihad.

Aye. Conferences, Internet based courses, team meetings etc. There were five the only day I’ve been in on a midweek morning. One was an “air conditioning conference”. The rest were just Company names I’d nivver heard of.

Negativity from some fans blow my mind , 32 years of supporting Sunderland , the lows out weigh the highs ten fold and more , selling 46 thousands tickets this season at home games is absolutely amazing, give us hope and we will back the lads , if we pushed on into the top ten, we would absolutely sell another 6 thousands seats !
