Aye, they were very good. Was a strange one at first, cos it kicked off at 2pm, so they needed to fight to get everyone going. Sure you’ll have had that before with early slots. The room was set out with seats around the side of the room & back, so everybody was sitting down at first, which is the opposite of how ska should be enjoyed. Nobody on the dance floor. They got it filled later like, but the layout of the room probably hindered the band at first. But I suppose you’re not going to empty the room of chairs & tables.

I’m there for a standing gig for Manchester Anthems in October. See how that goes. It’s a 9pm start on a matchday, which will help.

I saw them at Independent last year and thought the same thing, think it was as you say the layout and the time of day.
