Newcastle United 🇸🇦 v 🔴 Liverpool EPL Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Premier League Kick off 20:00

Their intensity was ridiculous and I doubt we would cope with it however surely they can’t play like that every game ?

Over a season they would accumulate a lot of injuries and sendings off .
They’ll play like that against us. It’s a given. Liverpool, City and Arsenal are their cup finals and they always go full pelt at home against them. It’ll be the same for us.

And as for accumulating sending offs the likes of Bruno and Tonali get away with murder on the pitch every week and get away with it. They seem allergic to cards

Slot has a point mind, the mags play messy football, frantic, relying on long balls and set pieces.
None of the chances created prior to the sending off were from frantic, long ball football.
Slot therefore is wrong. Probably would have been more magnanimous of him to say they were second best, got lucky but happy with the win etc etc
Newcastle desperately need a striker!!!
Like the look of that Ekitike thought. That’s twice I have seen him. Both games he has done almost nothing, other than score. Will get a lot better.

Why will it be the same for you?
Perhaps it’s a case of realising that, when playing the better sides, increased intensity is the only way to not get humped. Nothing to do with Cup Final nonsense but playing to the quality of the opposition. It’s hardly shocking to suggest a team needs to be a lot better to get a result against Liverpool than they do Brentford, for example.
Never a red I’ve been told. What about the marks on his leg? Just bad luck, players get them.
Red all day. Awful challenge. No need to go it at that pace.
Complete agree with both points

Konate is a liability.
I assume the lad from Palace is the plan.
Thought Konate been poor in both games.

The meltdown at graft today has been tremendous so far.
Hope you’ve blamed them for that “Get into them” banner. Fans whipped up the players and have ended up with a defeat, a suspension and a couple of injuries.

And while you’re at it, remind them that it was a patched-up Liverpool team missing three key players: proper right-back (Frimpong), first-choice midfielder (Mac Allister), and first-choice striker (Isak).

I’ve only watched them a handful of times and that’s what they’re like every time I watch them. Last night the intensity was dialled up a bit, but only slightly. Always look like they’ve got another man. Don’t keep the ball but always look like scoring. They’re not a great footballing side but they’re horrible to play against.

Got to say their fitness levels are impressive. Slots interview was a bit salty but he’s right that there’s little tactics to it. Still great to watch when it’s your team.
This is it, they are everywhere and want every ball. Yes it can be rough etc. but honestly don't think there were that many fouls they got away with tbh, a few but not every one.
