Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour


These f***ers are trying to squeeze every penny out of this deal. If it’s true that our position is Lucumi or no one, I imagine we’ll keep pushing all the way to the deadline unless someone else suddenly becomes available.
 
If we've got 30 million Euros to throw at a centre-back, I'm expecting the second coming of Des Walker in his pomp. I've got no idea who and no idea where from, but there must be a significant number of top, top centre backs across Europe whose clubs wouldn't be able to refuse 30 million Euros.

Time is ticking and this situation is now desperate given yesterday's Ballard injury. Either, I think we're absolutely certain we're getting him or if we're not, we must have moved on. This can't descend into a will or will he not right up until the deadline passes.

Sorry if this has already been answered but how have we been allowed to negotiate terms with him if they have no intention of selling him? From what their coach or CEO said the other day, I can’t remember which one, it’s not about the fee it’s more about not being able to replace him.

It’s how business is done nowadays.

Clubs negotiate with the agent/player and agree terms before discussing fees with the club. The agent usually has an idea of how much the player will cost as well.
 
Its becoming a joke now,legal action being talked about .Surely we must have a plan b,we need to pull out by Wednesday and move on,leaving them with a unhappy player.

If you're confident and see value, you play it out mate. No point throwing the towel in now if we think it's close. I think he'll sign, they won't want it to get legal.

We’ve made it pretty obvious it’s Lucumi or no one, which is why they have us over a barrel.

Agree mate if its close,what we cannot have is time running out leaving us high and dry.A lot of work to be done this week .Got a feeling something big is in the pipeline ,hope so anyway

Agree with this, and with our scouting network nowadays we must have a couple of other high quality options if we’re willing to spend €30m.

That should get you a top class defender from any league in the world, bar maybe the PL with its ridiculous prices
