Some of the best partnerships we've seen in the last 20 or 30 years were two right footed centre halves. You're right, it's very weird people are so obsessed by it

Their argument seems to be that many right-footed cbs are used to playing on the wrong side whereas not true for lefties, which does have some logic, but it’s nowhere near as important as strength, speed, aerial ability, positioning etc, so this would only enter my thinking if I was having to choose between two otherwise identical cbs.
