Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

Bologna need to be careful - if they stop him moving and he takes the huff then he'll be away for nish at the end of the season when his contract expires.
 

Player wants the move so someone will blink to get it done. Probably either we up the bid again or Lucumi hands in a transfer request and loses his loyalty bonus.

They've got loads of CBs now so no point hanging on to an unhappy player
 
Risk for us is if he doesn’t come this summer by January he will be able to negotiate as a free agent and then I’m sure he will have a host of clubs offering big wages to get him in lieu of any transfer fee

All he said though was the he was under contract & wouldn’t be leaving for free at the end of the season. He was 100% correct. The examples you’ve gave have got nothing to do with the post you’ve quoted.

Whether it’s DoF, head coach, clubCEO, it’s a senior face from club giving his six penneth.
If rumors are to be believed ( let’s face it, all of this is rumor/hearsay/tittle tattle), Bologna have a player who wants away and we have made a bid which the player is allegedly happy to have it.
The player is popular with fans. If the club rolled over and sold him straight off ( to a newly promoted premier team ) many of their fans would take umbrance and club would be seen as losing face.
In my view it’s all tilting at windmills, handbags etc. I may be proven wrong. I can deal with that
 
We can't just assume that every club that says they aren't going to sell a player doesn't actually mean it.

Plenty of transfers don't happen because the club won't sell.

I wouldn't rule the one out completely but it's gone on so long I do think it's more likely he stays at Bologna than not.

We'll know for sure in 10 days time.
