Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour


Reading the Italian press this morning using google translate there does seem to be the stance from Bologna that they still don’t want to sell.

But - they just signed two players in 3 days, and they,ve stock piled cbs.

The CEO said they could have done something with Sunderland (as they’ve now reached the old release clause figure) but would have needed to come earlier in the window. He’s moving the goal posts yet again and that sounds like haggling for more for me.

Jhon is undoubtedly keen on the move now - wages mostly but also assured of the ambitious project

That all taken together can mean only one conclusion. Can’t see this going against us.
 
IMO if we can’t agree a deal for Lucumi I don’t think we’ll sign another CB.

Sounds like the club are happy to keep Seelt as an option this season and it very much seems like the club want Lucumi rather than needing another CB in general.

I think it would be the cherry on top, but we have cover imo already, Mukiele was a big one for them. Be nice to get Lucumi but it’s not a desperation!
Personally think the winger situation is more of a problem.

They obviously see lucomi as someone there really rate so would get him, but aren't going to just get anyone in if he can't come
 
I trust Ghisolfi knows the Italian market and how to play it, I’m still confident we’ll get him.

Though with Sunderland there’s always the chance we’re working on another deal that hasn’t been leaked yet.

Anyone saying we don’t need another centre half are mad, there is a reason we’re looking to spend so much much on that position because it’s a necessity

That video analysis does a very good job of going through formation options 442 352 and 532
 
Think we'll see how this weekend goes before improving the offer. If Ballard and Alderete put in a strong performace and get through without injury we might leave it till january.

In 99 cases from 100 oncr the player wants the move it’s done. Everything else is just noise about money. They have I think 8 centre backs.
