I’m happy if he signs a new contract and also Neil too.
These lads deserve a chance to show they are up to representing Sunderland in the league they fought so hard to get us to.
I do have some reservations about their quality, especially Cirkin. I just don’t think he is at this level, I’m afraid. But he deserves a chance and I hope this comes through.
Hope he signs the contract but I also hope he gets himself sorted out. Injures have been a big issue but you also get the feeling there's underlying problems with him mentally and from his instagram he seems to be quite an isolated individual whenever he's not playing football. Then the reports about him struggling since his Dad's passing etc. That might just be how he likes things but whatever he's got going on, let's hope we see a injury free / fresh minded Dennis Cirkin playing for SAFC soon because there's a really good footballer in there.
What?I am not sure about signing that other left back, should have backed cirkin I think
You can’t have 3 out n out left backs surely?
Talk about just utter speculation based on nothing
On what basis is he isolated?
No need for posts like this it’s not even true.
Been a massive success here and he loves it here.
What?My opinion is that he seems to like to be isolated and away from the usual life of a footballer. Straight after the playoff final win he was off at some retreat somewhere, he quite often posts images of himself sat drawing, generally not stuff you see other footballers doing. My post even said he might like it like that which is fine if that's the case. He himself referred to his 'off field issues' in an interview in relation to his fathers passing and mental health struggles after that. My post was wishing him well and hoping he's got himself sorted. Don't be so dramatic if you haven't read the post properly
I hope so. I'd love him and Neil to spend this season learning from Reinildo and Xhaka to become their long term replacements. Big ask to step up to the Premier but there's no rush and they've got some pretty good role models to set the standard. He’s absolutely quality and will only get better with Reinildo etc.
Aye okay so he went on holiday to Bali, literally straight after the playoff final when the rest of his team mates were celebrating. As I said, if that's how he lives his life that's fine I just think it's not the 'usual' when it comes to modern day footballers. Anyway, let's just hope his injury issues and other struggles are behind him because he's got all the ability in the world and has been a great success here so far.He went on holiday to Bali man ffs
Im not saying you’re criticising him at all but you’ve just read too much into nothing, that’s just his social media style, he’s not some bloke sat by himself all year like.
Hopefully because at his best he’s a quality player and should only improve learning from the like of Reinildo etc.New contract?

I heard he had too many 'daffy duck' moments following our summer's transfer activity so has serious RSI to his wrist.Yeah, fair enough. I'm potentially overly defensive of his injury record as a few have come from him throwing his body on the line, which I will always respect more than a Bradley Dack type.
I believe he had a wrist operation that the surgeon botched, so he had to have a second one to fix it which has added a load of recovery time
What a ridiculous take. He has opened up himself on his mental health problems. I didn't say it goes hand in hand with leading a more islolated / quiet lifestyle than others or is a direct consequence of mental health problems.Someone liking drawing and writing poetry and travelling to retreats doesn’t mean they have mental health problems.
