Cirkin

Remember the header against Millwall, dont think anyone can argue minerals after that. Some of our fan base are utter fuckwits
That was a great header !
What are you on about? A load of his absences have been for concussion protocols, or a broken wrist which he played through.

Accusing Cirkin of playing up injuries to avoid playing is absolutely bizarre
Is he due a wrist operation ?

Seemed happy enough in January.

“The staff, the gaffer and everyone else working behind the scenes deserve massive credit. There’s a lot that fans don’t see and they deserve all the credit for helping me along the way.”

After returning to the side from injury this season, Cirkin has played a vital role in a team that currently sit fourth in the Championship and cementing a 13-match unbeaten run at the Stadium of Light.

However, those initial landmarks are met with a burning desire for more. “Hopefully there is many more games and we can create many more memories with this special Club,” he added.

It does read harsh tbf , a lad was telling me it can be a bit mental with him who knows someone around the club . He had a while out with his hamstring I think (possible surgery on it) , then wrist injury last season which seems to be dragging on . Obviously head injuries and potential concussion issues bring protocols outside of a players control .
Don't want to seem to be disliking the lad so it may have came across in wrong way. Hands Up !

Yeah, fair enough. I'm potentially overly defensive of his injury record as a few have come from him throwing his body on the line, which I will always respect more than a Bradley Dack type.

I believe he had a wrist operation that the surgeon botched, so he had to have a second one to fix it which has added a load of recovery time

Every so often, someone posts something which is so far off-piste that you're not even skiing, any more. A twat post of spectacular proportions. Unless the mineral is calcium and you're advocating he drinks some milk to increase his bone density?
I recall a rumor doing the rounds back I the day that said Anton Ferdinand was always injured over Xmas so he could return to his family darn sarf. It was utter horse5hit but gained traction among the miserabilistas

I never realised it was botched thats not good, Again his injury record is not great but on further scrutiny (which i never done earlier) he has had 3 operations whilst at safc , groin, hamstring and wrist which is not a mental issue obviously as surgerywas required, he has had other general issues .....but i guess 3 ops could make you apprehensive as it would with most people tbf.

100% this , I’d have him back in a heartbeat , wouldn’t cost too much either and would would push edingra
If we sold him for £15m a year ago you’d imagine it’d be a similar amount now. He’ll have a longer contract with Ipswich than he had with us. Thats what you need to break.

Mind you, that wembley performance was a shocker of mammoth proportions!

Possibly , but hes not really fitted into their managers plans , so might get him for less if he then feels 10m could fund other signings for him

Hope he signs the contract but I also hope he gets himself sorted out. Injures have been a big issue but you also get the feeling there's underlying problems with him mentally and from his instagram he seems to be quite an isolated individual whenever he's not playing football. Then the reports about him struggling since his Dad's passing etc. That might just be how he likes things but whatever he's got going on, let's hope we see a injury free / fresh minded Dennis Cirkin playing for SAFC soon because there's a really good footballer in there.

If Alderete or Ballard were to pick up a knock, and we're long enough in the tooth by now to know that's not exactly out of the question when it comes to Ballard, we'd be looking at moving Reinildo to CB and Cirkin coming in at LB (when fit obviously and prior to Mukiele being available).

Would be a boost to have him involved and signing a new deal. I really think he can make it at this level.

Be great to get a new contract sorted. Quality player and we need a decent squad if he’s happy not to be playing every week.
I would have thought due to his age, Reinaldo was only signed to plate for a year or two whilst we get Cirkin up to premier league, but the intention will have been to bring Cirkin through again.
