Abdul Fatawu - continuing news

I’ll trust the judgment of the people running the club and not get hung up on transfer fees. We all thought we would be spending buttons and going back down, now we are willing to chuck good money about and put together a squad to handle this league some still complain! We are being spoilt!
Dare I say finally a proper ran club

Easily.

What's probably not shown on his videos is his work rate too. He never gives up, will always chase down to try and win the ball back.

Anyway I'm going to stop whoring him out now as we desperately need him to stay.

So no, hes crap - not up to standard 😆
I reckon we've spotted all these traits and will pay top dollar for him as he's young and can probs go for 60/70mill in a couple.of years if things work out for him

I'm actually envious of the way you're having a go. Exactly as it should be.

Our signings last season were a disgrace. We've gone from brilliant recruitment to that.

Bobby De-Cordova Reid, Jordan Ayew, Caleb Okoli, Oliver Skipp, Woyo Coulibaly &Michael Golding (who?) for a combined £48m.

El Khannous and Fatawu being made permanent the only two decent.

Having watched you a fair bit last time we were in the Championship and last season the one player I would love to have of yours, not that it will ever happen now, is Ballard.

Proper wall, always impressed me everytime I've seen him. What I'd give for him in our defence instead of Lurch and Sideshow Bob.

I'm not suggesting we will easily stay up. Long hard road so only time will tell. But when a club goes up which such ease (You, Leeds etc) the owners seem to think that it also means the same team can handle the PL. It's not usually the case.

Not for me this one. Steer clear IMO.

He might be talented and have potential, but his actual record is nothing special.

Signed him for 15m, turned down 34m and value him at 50m? Leicester were relegated FFS.

Transfermarket value him at €11m, now that’s more realistic.
That doesn't reduce a player's value.

Let the owners & management worry about transfer fees. They've already proven they have good instincts for players who will progress us as a club AND make a profit.

Those saying it's too much like the mistakes we made last time round, ultimately what cost us the last time round was NOT taking calculated risks on slightly more expensive targets when they arose. The biggest one I remember was being strongly linked with VVD at Celtic, but baulking at the price, then letting Saints snap him up & make a huge profit on him a few years later while we had the likes of Coates & Djilibodji stinking the place out.

I'm still not convinced this is true. Seemed to break from a Spanish reporter who has connections to getafe who he claims have our backup plan for fatawu.
